Beckett’s Film, and the documentary Not Film

While working on a complete 4K digital restoration at the UCLA Film & Television Archive of the legendary Film by Samuel Beckett (starring Buster Keaton) archivist Ross Lipman made an astonishing discovery in the apartment of publisher Barney Rosset. Stored under the kitchen sink were reels of film and audio that had been sitting there for decades. What Lipman uncovered promises to change the way we perceive this piece of work and  offer a view of Beckett’s approach and practice.
